Prof. Eman Gaad, Dean of Faculty of Education, along with a group of BUiD’s students visited the University of Glasgow for an educational trip on 29 March 2017. At Glasgow, the students were briefed about the University and its programmes and they got the chance to get informed about the University and its areas of research. Visits to a high- school and a primary school were scheduled. They were welcomed by the schools principals, attended presentations, and interacted with the students. In the Primary school, they have the opportunity to see at first-hand how inclusion is done in the school and learned from the school’s experience in this area.
Students expressed their happiness with the trip and commented:
“The trip was a great opportunity for us to explore the University of Glasgow, and the options of research collaboration with people who have the same interest at research.” Nooreya Alobeidli
“This was a unique experience; it is my second time to join the annual UK trip with our wonderful (Mother) Professor Eman, and being part of this trip enabled me to interact with people from different cultures and backgrounds. It enriched my personal and professional experiences with my own culture as well with others. Along with the trip, we were also able to visit historical sites as well as we observe the high and primary inclusive schools in Glasgow and this was interesting to see how inclusion works in UK. For sure in future I will be joining this trip once again.” Khawla Al Shehhi
