120 parents graduated from ALjalila Ta’alouf programme on 10 November 2016. This great community based project is led by Prof. Eman Gaad, Dean of the Faculty of Education and it is sponsored by Aljalila Foundation. The training is designed to empower parents of children with disabilities with the skills and understanding needed to support their children to lead a happy life. The last training, which was conducted in Abu Dhabi, concluded on 13 November 2016 with 40 parents graduating bringing the total number of graduates to 420 since the programme’s inception in 2013.
The graduation ceremony took place in the Mohammed Bin Rashid Academic Medical Centre in Dubai Healthcare City on 10 November 2016. The ceremony was inaugurated by Her Excellency Dr Raja Easa Saleh Al Gurg, Member of the Board of Trustees and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Al Jalila Foundation, Dr Abdulkareem Sultan Al Olama, CEO of Al Jalila Foundation, Professor Abdullah Alshamsi, Vice Chancellor of The British University in Dubai (BUiD), and Professor Eman Gaad, Dean of Faculty of Education and the Head of the Doctoral Programme at BUiD.
