The British University in Dubai Provides Training for the Teacher Licensing Pilot Project

On 5 June 2017, The British University in Dubai received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Knowledge and Human Development Authority for its role as the training partner for “The Teacher Licensing Pilot”. The Project was conducted from 1st September 2016 till 31st May 2017. Teachers were assessed as part of the National Qualifications Authority (NQA) and Knowledge and Human Development Authority's (KHDA) Teacher and Educational Leadership Standards (TELS) licensing scheme which evaluates participants in four teacher and educational leadership standards including: 'ethics and conduct'; 'professional knowledge'; 'professional practice'; and 'professional growth.

The University provided training sessions and workshops for 230 teachers from private schools in Dubai in order to prepare them for the exam. The pilot phase evaluated the effectiveness of the licensing process and the feedback of participating teachers.
