The British University in Dubai Organises the Third International Conference on Arabic Computational-Linguistics

The British University in Dubai hosted the 3rd International Conference on Arabic Computational Linguistics (ACLing 2017) on 5-6 November 2017 at its campus in Dubai International Academic City.  The conference was organised in collaboration with Al Nile University. The conference accepted 37 research papers, which will be published in the Procedia Computer Science by ELSEVIER. Prof. Khaled Shaalan, Head of IT Master’s programmes and PhD Computer Science at BUiD, stressed the need for Arabic computational linguistics, which will highlight the characteristics of the Arabic language and its unique features.

(ACLing) is a series of international conferences devoted to Arabic Computational Linguistics. The conference brought together leading academics, scientists, researchers, practitioners and linguistics professionals from all over the world to exchange new ideas and the latest results in the area of Arabic Computational Linguistics and Natural language processing (NLP). The field has become increasingly important, as more and more Arabic information is now available through the Web, Social Media and Intranet services.
