BUiD’s MSc in Building Services Engineering combines analytical skills with knowledge and is primarily directed towards engineers who are looking to pursue more challenging and advanced roles in their organisations. The programme is suitable for both junior and middle-level engineers from relevant disciplines, including Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, Electronic, Civil and Manufacturing, or those from a physical science background with suitable experience in the building services. With the growing complexity of engineering services in modern buildings and the significance of energy conservation and emissions control, the role of building services engineers is becoming increasingly important.
While engineering undergraduate teaching focuses on technical aspects, it is becoming more important for engineers to gain additional technical skills in order to progress in their careers and achieve promotion in their work. As time progresses, engineers will be required to deal with a wider range of technical-related activities in addition to the advancement aspects of their job. BUiD’s MSc programme will graduate building services engineers who have a sound knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to apply this knowledge to the complex situations within the building services industry.
