The DTC is a central department that supports and promotes the development of research activity and output at The British University in Dubai. Working in collaboration with the Academic Faculties and Central Administration, the DTC offers a comprehensive and systematic training and development programme for doctoral level students.  The British University in Dubai is a research intensive institution and our commitment to research development extends to all our students.  In addition to the doctoral level provision, the DTC offers core academic training to Masters students.

Dr. Farzana Asad Mir

Dr Farzana Asad Mir has fifteen years of management experience in the areas of organizational leadership, quality assurance and project management. She has hands on experience of managing people in corporate and academic environments, and has proven ability to train people in developing their leadership and management skills. She has also taught these skills at the University of Guelph, Canada and is a motivated instructor interested in supporting student success. Her PhD training and research skills prove helpful in supporting her students on their academic pathways.

Rawy Abdelrahman Thabet

Rawy joined BUiD in September 2013 as academic associate whose main responsibilities are coordinating, facilitating and contributing to the delivery of Doctoral Training Centre services; providing broader support on initiatives such as community engagement / action research project with Al Jalila Foundation (philanthropic organization). Before Joining BUiD, Rawy worked as an English language instructor at different higher education institutions.

Danielle joined BUiD in 2018 having worked and gained international experience within the education sector in GCC, the Caribbean and Latin America. She has worked with a number of UK universities in the realm of student administration and educational marketing.
